Website design for a space telescope

Website design for a space telescope

The team behind a proposed Canadian space telescope wanted to transform their existing website from an informational resource aimed at professional researchers to a more visually engaging design that would convey the telescope’s potential to a wider audience. Using their preferred web platform, I designed a new responsive layout with the ability to toggle seamlessly between French and English. The homepage’s animated hero image greets the viewer with an immersive depiction of the telescope floating above Earth.

Brochure design for an Indian classical dancer

I was asked by Athira to design the program brochure for her debut solo performance (Arangetram) in the traditional Indian dance style known as Bharatanatyam. The purple-and-gold colour palette and delicate border patterns were carefully selected to complement her exquisite costume in a series of portrait photographs by Arun Munoz. The title and headings are set in an elegant cursive typeface above subtle, ornate background decorations for a refined, artistic feel that reflects the nature of the ceremony.

Through the advent of social media, pre-Internet-era recording artists like Jerry Jerry and the Sons of Rhythm Orchestra are being rediscovered by nostalgic fans and new generations of music lovers alike. The Jerry Jerry website acts as a digital archive, collating fan photos, videos, articles, and anecdotes into a one-page responsive layout with a kitschy newspaper aesthetic that is reminiscent of the analog age in which the Canadian rockers cut their teeth.

Alicia wanted a professional website that would highlight her expertise, advertise her upcoming events, and boost enrollment in her vocal studio. To achieve this, I developed a responsive WordPress website with embedded audio and video clips, a lesson scheduling widget, and other interactive features. The layout blends stylish black-and-white portraits by photographer Brent Calis with a vivid turquoise accent colour and a calligraphic “A” lettermark that evokes the elegance of opera.

Visual identity design for a medical device company

Prev Biotech wanted a visual identity that would reflect the innovative nature of their flagship product, Smart-e-Pants. I designed a logo and built a visual system around the distinctive shape of the wordmark’s letter “v”, which acts as a checkmark as well as a symbolic leap forward. This motif is repeated throughout the company’s online and printed materials, including the business card design seen here, which I created in addition to tradeshow banners, a report cover, and patent drawings for their medical invention.
